I started cutting hair because the barber I grew up with treated his chair like an event. Every visit was unhurried, the work was specific, and you left feeling like you'd been seen. I wanted to build a studio that felt like that.
Licensed in 2018, trained on the straight razor in 2020, fully solo since 2022. I work appointment-only because the alternative is rushing, and rushed barbering is bad barbering.
The work spans clean tapers, scissor cuts, beard sculpting, and traditional hot-towel shaves. Nothing exotic, just done well. Most clients come in every three to five weeks; I remember your last cut and where we left off.
Outside the studio: family, fishing, and the occasional motorcycle project that takes longer than promised. The studio sits on the same street my parents shopped on growing up.
When I'm not at the chair, I'm usually fixing something. Bikes, motors, a stubborn cabinet. Same instinct: pay attention, take your time, finish what you started.
